Columbia, SC v. 49

We are so blessed.  Have I mentioned that before?  :) We've made friends all over the country as we have traveled on this trip, but also as we have traveled in the past.  Becca and Rachel met on the beach at Christmas time in Florida when they were 5  and 6. They've looked forward to seeing each other every year since!  We won't be in Florida for Christmas this year, so we got them together for another favorite holiday- Halloween!  They went as a cowgirl and a rainbow, and tried to stay far enough ahead of us so no one could tell their parents were watching...

CANDY SUCCESS!!

On Halloween at the Riverbanks Zoo and Garden, we and maybe ten other people visited the animals.  We watched a really informative owl talk, at which Rebecca learned some things she would see again and understand better the next week at Stone Mountain, GA.  She also got to see a vulture training session.

The zoo had an outdoor high ropes and balance course much like the indoor course at Pigeon Forge.  Becca never met a challenge she didn't like, so up she went!

Dinner at Miyabi's Japanese restaurant was great fun, as our chef/server/host cooked our meal right in front of us, and served us more rice than we could eat in a week!  We topped off our visit with some girl time- a shopping trip where Claire's, Delia's, Bath and Body Works, and the food court were highlights.  Thanks for a great visit John, Nancy, Nick and Rachel!
