Just fun. We went to Orlando the first week of December, stayed at Turkey Lake Park, and visited Universal Studios.
Turkey Lake Park= great place, $23/night. This is an Orlando city park with full RV hook ups, gated, frisbee golf course, lots of other activities, 4 miles from Universal. Great deal.
Early December = very few lines! I just cannot imagine Harry Potter land during the holidays. It was the only place it was a little crowded. It is just not a wide open place. Funny- I saw 2 abandoned purses in 15 minutes. One was carried by a staff member out in front of him like a tea tray- he obviously didn't want anyone to think he was keeping it!
Universal Islands of Adventure- including Harry Potter- Becca loved it! I was truly pleased that the food at the restaurant we HAD to visit- Three Broomsticks- was actually quite good. We liked butterbeer, and I really liked the pumpkin fizz.
We saw the Blue Man Group again- a surprise for Becca. Thanks again, Hal!
When we visited the Universal Studios side, I remembered being there before with Bobby, Maria, and Danny. Fear Factor was new, and Becca, of course, volunteered to help out by spraying contestants with a fire hose :)
Becca loves the money sucking games that reward you with worthless prizes. Unfortunately, she wins sometimes, so she wants to play again... Arghhh, that intermittent reinforcement WORKS! Hmm... I missed a teachable moment. She knocked 6 cans off the platform.
Maria's reaction to this photo was, "Yuck! Why did she pick Lisa Simpson?" It was her or the creepy clown, so she picked Lisa. We didn't have room for the doll in the RV, so there is a child who is very happy that Lisa was donated to Toys for Tots. Becca admitted- it is not the prize, it is the thrill of the win.
Disney next!
