Busch Gardens v. 63

Busch Gardens was not part of our plan.

As an incentive for finishing all of her 7th grade requirements by the end of January, Becca asked to go to Discovery Cove in Orlando.  She did it!

Part of the package is a 14 day window around the Discovery Cove date during which visits to Sea World, Aquatica, and Busch Gardens (in Tampa) are free :).

Busch Gardens became part of the plan!

This place is like a combination of lots of things that we like.  Some part of it is like a zoo, complete with trainer talks and safari experiences.

I've never seen a white tiger before, and I almost never see any tiger active.  These guys were moving around almost every time we passed.

Paul Revere with the mustang piano and tri-corner hat

We came during their concert series.  We just missed Chubby Checker, and Becca negotiated to stay longer to see Paul Revere and the Raiders.  Guess what Florida demographic they are catering too?

more intermittent reinforcement...

They were not filled with money sucking games, but Bec found them anyway.

Busch Gardens did have some awesome rides that I don't have pictures of.  We have decided that while wooden roller coasters have an awesome history, they hurt!  The newer ones strap you in more securely, and have loops and spirals that the wooden ones could never do.  I'm not sure which kind seems more dangerous.  I like both- but I may choose the newer ones as this body becomes less elastic!

Tampa is only an hour away from Orlando, and Sea World operates a shuttle between the parks.  We would definitely go again- well worth it!
