The
island of Lanai was a very beautiful, quiet, and unique place to go and relax.
The first, and most important, part of our trip was going to see my Great Aunt
Nancy and my Great Uncle Wallace, who provided all of the activities that we
did (they really are wonderful!)
Next, we saw a really cool shipwreck, and on
the same day, we had a picnic on the beach. The next day, we drove up a
mountain and had lunch up there.

Later, we went to a solar farm, and I found
out that Lanai gets ten percent of its power from these solar panels. I also
learned that if windmills were put on Lanai, they would not get any of the
power. After that, we went to a farm, owned by a very nice lady named Alberta.
Alberta told us about how certain marigold flowers can help other plants grow.
She also gave us lots of samples of her products that were very colorful and
delicious. So, in the end, I can easily say that my time on Lanai was a very
fun and educational learning experience.
