- Nebraska is big and Carhenge is strange
- Mt Rushmore is the ultimate"Made in America"
- I couldn't feel my fingers for 3 days after rock climbing al day with Rebecca- but it was a blast
- When the trip is done, Becca will have a very long list of what she wants to do when she grows up- very exciting.
- I think George Armstrong Custer and I would have been friends at the bottom of our class.
- It was great to see Joe Walz and his family. Little Tommy looks fantastic- I still have scars from the pellet gun wars.
- God was on drugs when He made Bryce Canyon
- Kayaking is fun. Kayaking in rapids is awesome.
- White water rafting is a contact sport.
- Vegas is always changing but it is still always 100 degrees, and you still leave with less cash than you had. Circus Circus is still great for kids.
- Climbing a 14K mountain in Denver was a challenge
- I came
- I saw
- I conquered
- I threw up
- Actually seeing and smelling huge fires out west is scary
- Mass at the Air Force Academy was moving.
- Mass at St. Cyril in KC with 5 people plus the priest was more moving. It was the first time Becca was an altar server- She did great!- and there was no collection...
- Baseball is fun no matter where it is played- Colorado, KC, St Louis, and Cincinnati were all a treat, and very different in their own way.
- Seeing Saturn'srings through a telescope at Zion with Rebecca was very cool.
- Fitz's home made rootbeer in St. Louis is still the best.
- It was good to see our first home in Indy. Many great memories of Bobby, Maria, and Danny. The Children's Museum is still #1.
- Spending all day in the lazy river at Schlitterbahn water park in KC was the perfect answer to the 106' day.
- Mt. Rushmore KOA is bigger than Rhode Island.
- Seeing 500-600 bison in Yellowstone was a beautiful sight.
- Bears can climb trees- fast!
- The Grand Tetons are grand.
- Before you lose most of your money in Vegas, save some for the roller coasters!
- When in doubt, always chose white water rafting. Fall in early, get it over with- you will go in.
- It is fun to watch Becca do the Junior Ranger programs at the National Parks. She has learned a lot and made many Ranger friends.
- You really don't miss TV- except Phineas and Ferb
- Thank God for Teddy Roosevelt
- Jan has great patience
- Dumping the motor home still stinks
- Becca summed things up perfectly one morning as we all stood in front of the fridge, sink, bed, table and bathroom in the RV all wanting to go a different way. She said, "I love you BUT, you are in the way".
