Zipping in Vermont v.42

Bob has done some amazing research for this trip- thanks to him, we have done incredibly fun things!

We reached Vermont right around peak Fall colors.  I was really surprised to learn that people zip line in all weather.  Ours was cool- around 50 degrees; and wet- but not consistently rainy.  That doesn't sound like fun weather, but we had a blast! This area is so beautiful-  with the right clothes, zipping in the snow must be incredible.

Hello from Smuggler's Notch, Vermont!
Once I turned the right way, it went fine...
 Becca was fearless!

I'm not sure who had the most fun!

We also had dinner at the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, VT. Yes- I mean The Sound of Music Trapp family. It was a return trip for Bob, as he visited with his family as a teenager. They made a fire for us in the family game room while we played Scrabble and waited before our reservation, and we looked around a bit.  It has grown since Bob was there last.  Still a beautiful place.

As I write this, Sandy just slammed the East Coast.  Our thoughts and prayers to all who need them.  We left Tennessee yesterday, and drove through the beginnings of the snow in the mountains.  We will celebrate Halloween and trick or treat with friends in South Carolina.  Happy severe weather day to the kids in Hudson and Seton!
