Time for Baseball again!
We had double fun as we not only got to go to the Diamondbacks’ opening
game, but we had dinner with some transplanted Hudson friends.
TGI Friday’s is co-located with the stadium, and it sure was
hopping when we got there. Maria’s
God-daughter, Eliza, was happy with her chicken fingers and a new “big girl”
friend in Rebecca. Becca can’t wait to
start babysitting when we get home, and Brian and Kate were very encouraging-
Thanks!
| Brian tried to hide from the camera- we got him anyway! |
We stopped by the Wigwam Hotel on old Route 66 before we got
to Phoenix. If you’ve seen “Cars”, you’ll
see that this place inspired the Cozy Cone Motel in the movie. It was a blast from the past! There are the tipi’s of course, vintage cars,
and even some petrified wood. It’s not
too far from the Petrified Forest.
Definitely worth a stop!
We stopped for gas, and this guy was … standing on a corner
in Winslow Arizona- such a fine sight to see!
