New Orleans:
Riding bikes in the French Quarter
Waiting in the long line for Cafe Du Monde, and powdered sugary beignet donuts- delicious!
Becca enjoyed all the Cajun and Creole foods. She even bought some ingredients and made us some Gumbo and strawberry pie- our best meal so far on the trip!
We saw a little Jazz group one night. The youngest member was 83.
The tour of the above ground cemetery was very interesting- especially Nicholas Cage's future crypt...
On to San Antonio: We walked around The Alamo and saw a very good movie about what went down. You can see why Texans are a very proud people.

If you look up "Strangest things to see in the USA", somewhere on the list you will find Barney Smith's Toilet Seat Museum. We visited Barney- Becca got to sign the "Ohio" seat. Barney is 93, and very proud of his work. Very, very strange, but a very nice man!
We did visit Carlsbad Caverns- what a sight. Huge, huge cave. Jan said it best- "Walt Disney must have come here before he started Disneyland".
It was out of the way, but definitely worth the stop. Another badge for Becca- the "Junior Ranger Extraordinaire"!
