Yosemite is just beyond beautiful. It helps that we were there during April- before the throngs crowd the roads and trails. There were still loads of tourists everywhere! We biked a dedicated bike path to Mirror Lake, where folks were swimming and picnicking before it dries out later in the summer. Becca climbed on an old uprooted tree at water's edge. Above us was a spectacular view of Half Dome- so named because it looks like half of a dome....
In the Spring, waterfalls are everywhere. Some are famous and named, like Yosemite Upper and Lower Falls, and Bridalveil Fall. Others show up with the spring snowmelt and are gone too soon to be named.
Our camera died just before Alaska. Becca has been learning the features of the new one. This panoramic shot is of El Capitan on the left, and Half Dome on the right, both in the distance.
Yosemite Falls is pretty dynamic this time of year. Some of my videos haven't transferred well, so I'm hoping this one does- notice the spray to the left of the falls. Powerful!

| Thirsty? |
There were lots of people ignoring this warning and climbing around on the slippery rocks. Rangers really don't like hauling dead bodies out of streams and canyons.
