Fun stuff in Denver! v. 19

rally cap was unsuccessful...

Coors Field is the first of many baseball parks we will be visiting on the Big Trip.  The Rockies lost, but we had a blast!

Bob left his sandals in Salt Lake, so we went to REI to get him a new pair.  3 HOURS and (only) $200 later, we left with 3 pairs of shoes, a "Life is Good" shirt,  and a box of energy/granola bars.  I'm not a shopper- I really don't like spending money on things I don't need-but this was a fun store.

I wish I knew then that the mountain would claim part of my boots- more about that later!

Did you know there is a Mexican Restaurant in Denver that features an indoor cliff diver and a waterfall?  We were there 15 years ago with Bobby, Maria, and Danny.  Casa Bonita is a fun place to go with kids. You just have to be prepared to wait in line for a while to order and be seated.  I read a few reviews slamming the food, but we were fine with it.  We had fajitas and cheese enchiladas.  Mmm...Sopapillas with honey come with the meal!
